5th September, Sunday- Monthly Club Gathering

This month we will be in West Auckland at La Porchetta Pizza Restaurant, 199 Lincoln Rd, Henderson, from 5:30pm onwards. Come along for a bite to eat and a chat about VW's.

This is a casual dinner gathering. New members are welcome to attend whether you own a VW, or are thinking of owning one and would like some advice.

Note: the Newmarket Viaduct is closed, so avoid the Southern Motorway if travelling from South Auckland; or the Harbour Bridge if coming from North Shore.

7th November, Sunday- Te Aroha Hot Springs Run

If you are a VW owner in the Auckland area , here is your opportunity for a Sunday cruise to Te Aroha and back. 

Meet at the Papakura Autobarn Cafe on the Southern Motorway at 9:00am for a coffee or breakfast.   We will leave at around 10:00am and take a leasurely cruise down to Te Aroha via some of the best Waikato country roads.

At Te Aroha, we will meet up with the Bay of Plenty VW Owners Club for lunch and a swim in the hot pools, before another leasurely afternoon cruise back via some more of those country roads.

19th - 21st November, Sunday- BULLI @ THE BAY

This years Bulli is being held a little further north than usual, at Flaxmill Bay on the Coromandel Peninsula.   This weekend is organised by the Taranaki VW Owners Club and will be hosted by Wendy and Carl Kirkbeck at Flaxmill Bay Hideaway Holiday Park, Coromandel Peninsula.

28th November, Sunday- Spring Jamboree

The annual Spring Jamboree show for 2010 will be held at Artisan Wines, 99 Parrs Cross Road, Oratia, Waitakere City.  

Vehicles to be on site by 10:00am, the day will end at 3:00pm after the prize giving.   All VW makes and models are welcome, air or watercooled.

5th December, Sunday- 13th Annual Raglan Run

Dust off the VW and join us for the Annual Raglan Run.  Meet at the Papakura Autobarn Cafe on the Southern Motorway at 9:00am for breakfast. 

From there we convoy down state highway one to meet up with the Bay of Plenty and Waikato VW clubs at McDonalds, Greenwood Street, Frankton. Then we continue en mass out to Raglan for lunch.

Bring a full tank of gas and a picnic lunch, for an excellent day out.

25th - 4th May, Wednesday- 2011 Surf n Soak VW Tour

After the great success of the 60th Commemorative tour of the South Island last Easter, a few of us have got together and have put together a tour around the Coromandel and Bay of Plenty for VW's and their enthusiasts.

The Surf n Soak VW Tour 2011 will start on Monday 25th April 2011, after the Volkswagen Nationals in Auckland. Will end ten days later in Taupo Wednesday 4th May. The Surf n Soak VW Tour 2011 is open to all VW enthusiasts, participants can leave or join the tour at any stage to suit their requirements.

The Surf n Soak VW Tour 2011 will have daily travel plan with suggested places of interest to visit en route and a list of camp sites that the tour will stay at each night.

There will be some memorabilia for this tour, details to follow. Memorabilia will need to be ordered and paid for by cut off date Sunday 27th March 2011.
