New Zealands Biggest classic car fun run. Entries must be registered prior to the event. Registrations will not be accepted on the day. Several club members have registered for the fun run already.

Report to the Ellerslie Race Course carpark at 9:00am, for drivers briefing and departure at 10:00am. It only costs $5.00 to enter.

5th - 16th April, Friday- South Island VW Tour

The Central South VW Enthusiasts Club is investigating the possibility of holding a once-in-a-lifetime round the South Island VW Tour, following the 2010 VW Nationals in Nelson.
The reason is to celebrate the 60th anniversary of transporter production, and while it would be open to all VW's, the obvious preference would be the participation of type 2's.
The tour would depart from Nelson on Easter Monday, April 5th and end 2 weeks later in Christchurch.
The objective is to set a leisurely itinerary allowing for individual flexibility, but with camping venues and some other arrangements being pre-booked.
It will cover most areas of the South Island, including the east coast (and Mt. Cook), the Catlins, Western Southland (Manapouri, TeAnau & Milford), Central Otago and the West Coast. We are at the very early stages of planning this venture, and we are seeking expressions of interest from VW people around the country who may/would, want to be part of this event.
